The bottom line is that operating our various servers (Battlefield 2, Battlefront II, America's Army) takes money. For example, the typical Battlefield 2 Ranked server costs about $3.00 per slot per month, which equals about $50.00/month for a 16-slot server. On top of this, we have website upkeep fees, hardware fees (for the Battlefront 2, America's Army, and Counterstrike server owners), as well as other fees (Game-Monitor charges a monthly fee to rank and rate our servers, etc).
